arc

I am driven by my values, passionately supporting those who run small charities. I started my career in the corporate sector working as a business consultant, before deciding to use my powers for good and moved into the charity sector in 2009! So this is what arc is about and what I stand for…

Authentic – being authentic, honest and acting with integrity is at the core of how I work. I believe that being authentic as an organisation will also bring more success for charities in their mission to connect with their communities and supporters.

Results-driven – small charities have enough to be managing, without undertaking work that is a tick-box exercise and not adding value to what they are doing. It is important to be aligned with best practice when you are running a charity, but your approach needs to reflect that you are small (even though mighty!). If hard earned funds are going to be spent – we must make sure that there’s a real bang for that buck!

Compassionate – I have been a charity Trustee, helping to run a small charity in my spare time alongside a full time job and all that life entails. I have supported charity leaders to successfully grow their organisations and understand how hard this can be when funds and hours in the day are limited. I know (and celebrate) that small charities often punch far above their weight, powered by passionate and amazing people. I want to bring my compassion and passion to help your organisation succeed.

pricing

I have set my pricing structure based on organisational income. This is to reflect the small charity sector, and my commitment to compassionate working.

Organisational income under £250k: £40/hr

Organisational income £250k-£500k: £45/hr

Organisational income £500k – £1m: £50/hr

We can also discuss fixed price contracts for project/event work, which may be a more cost effective way to manage larger pieces of work.

Heads Together and Quick Wins

Leading a small charity can be incredibly challenging, and at times very isolating. Sometimes what you need, is having someone on your team – a trusted ear, and an action oriented cheerleader! Having a space where you can share your challenges, thoughts and opportunities can ease the load and help to find creative solutions. My ‘Heads Together and Quick Wins’ service allows clients to secure a monthly check-in meeting, where you can talk through what’s going on. During this meeting, we’ll identify the quick wins that I can work on and deliver before the next check-in. This concept is designed for those organisations that don’t have the luxury of employees or big teams. Sometimes, small things can make a huge difference. This service is available from £150 per month – please have a chat to me about how this might work for your organisation.

Have you considered collaboration?

Small charities are often all doing similar work and projects. Could there be benefit in working together with another organisation – to avoid duplication of work, and reducing the cost? With the right support, collaboration can be an amazing way to work, and I have the passion and experience to support this.
